PABLO CROCE: AWARD WINNER DIRECTOR / PRODUCER
Born in Washington DC and raised in Caracas Venezuela. Began his career in music and transitioned into film. Completed a Bachelor in Arts at “Full Sail University” in Orlando,Fl. Studied a Master Editor Workshop with acclaimed editor Evan Lottman ACE,(“Apocalypse Now”,” The Exorcist”, and “Presumed Innocent”) also Directing Actors with Judith Weston and Acting for Film at the New York Film Academy. Additional studies include, modern harmony and composition at the Ars Nova College of Music, a Berkley College of music approved program in Caracas Venezuela and Systems Engineering at the Caracas Metropolitan University.
With a vast experience in directing short formats, Croce holds a truthful sensibility with actors as well as a sharp talent and skill to manage music and dance material. Started his career during the late 90’s, exclusively dedicated to film editing for several directors and companies. Composed music for documentaries and TV shows for a period of time. In 2000, launched his Director career specializing in Music Videos, TV ads and documentaries. Directed a 24x half hour series for Discovery Kids distributed over 70 territories worldwide and was nominated and awarded for his work in different areas.
As a Music Video Director, Croce was awarded an MTV La Award for “Labios compartidos” a Music Video produced for super star band Maná also was recognized by The Recording Academy with 4 Latin Grammy Nominations for his work with music videos including Maná “Labios compartidos”, Juanes: “Fíjate Bien”, Chayenne: “Torero” and Roselyn Sánchez: “Amor Amor”. Additionally was awarded an OYE Award for the same “Ladios Compartidos” (the Mexican recording academy)
From his Documentary work, Pablo was awarded a “Best New Documentary Director” Award at the Tribeca Film Festival for his documentary on Anderson Silva UFC Brazilian middle weigh champion.
And his TV Ad work included several Anda awards in Caracas Venezuela for his innovative work with Coca Cola regional, street baseball campaign.
During his incursion in advertising, he was trusted by Procter and Gamble through Leo Burnet Mexico, Unilever by Y&R Brazil, and brands like Coca-Cola, Pepsi among other brands such as Maxim magazine, Jarritos and Maseca. And some additional short format work included upfront sizzle reels for Univision and Telemundo.
Dedicated to a variety of product types and styles, Croce developed also in web branded content, with creative input on brand content design and strategy for brands such as Citizens of Humanity, Agolde jeans, AJE Aguacielo, AT&T, Pilsener and Pilsener light beer and currently continues advising, directing and producing such content.
Developed his first screenplay: “Julito Maraña”, based on the legendary character of Juanito Alimaña by singer Héctor Lavoe, together with Bob Teitel (“Men of Honor”, “Soul Food” and “Barber Shop”) Developed “Burundanga” with Half Way Crocks entertainment and is currently developing a third script for picture called “Miracle Mural”
PERFORMING ARTS AND THEATER DIRECTOR
PRODUCED AND DIRECTED an Off-broadway flamenco musical called “Entre Mundos”. Co-produced “Amor Brujo” Artistically directed by Siudy Garrido for the Los Angeles Philharmonics. Promoted and General Manage “Frida Khalo” playright by Antonio Robles and lead by Prakriti Maduro.
